Namaste dear friends of It’s Yoga,
As many of you know, I have recently returned from 3 weeks in
Mexico. One Rocket Training at Yogahe
(It’s Yoga) in Mexico City, one new studio space rented
for It’s Yoga in Oaxaca, and one retreat venue found in
Puerto Escondido –it is good to be back in San Fran. We
are proud to announce It’s Yoga, Oaxaca
opening in the next month or so. The opening of this studio is
truly a dream come true for me; Oaxaca is a magical
place, one of my favorite cities in the world. Our friend Pablo
Alvarez, originally from Mexico City, came to San Francisco for
the Teacher Training last year and will be running the studio.
We are very happy to welcome him to the family of It’s Yoga
studios, being the 4th It’s Yoga in Mexico, and 15th
worldwide! Eventually, we would like to hold teacher
trainings in Oaxaca where we can house people for about $25 a
day. We are sending our recent graduate, Louie Landsman down to
help Pablo get started, and hope to encourage like exchanges between
It’s Yoga’s in the future. Other upcoming events for
Oaxaca towards the end of the year include a Rocket Training during
the Day of the Dead Celebration the first week
in November, and a New Years Retreat/Reunion
in surfer’s paradise, Puerto Escondido. We look forward
to welcoming in the New Year with graduates of the teacher training,
friends of It’s Yoga, and anyone interested in starting
off the year in Puerto Escondido! Stay tuned for details!
Also, many of you have been asking about David and Elizabeth.
We are happy to report that It’s
Yoga Puerto Rico is a huge hit. They are launching two teacher
trainings this year, June
15 – July 12 and September 18 – October 16 and
offering almost 30
classes a week. We did a workshop when I was there in February
and we had an incredible time. Our friend Judy Chang just returned
(with a suntan) after making cushions for the studio and teaching
some classes with them. Website photo gallery coming soon!

Additionally, we are offering 4 more sessions of the ROCKET
TRAINING to augment our 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified
teacher-training course. Under the direction of Reed
Taylor from It’s Yoga South Beach, Miami, the Rocket
Training has been a remarkable success. In two sessions,
we have graduated 12 highly skilled and enthusiastic “Rocket”
teachers. The next Rocket Training will begin May 23 – June
13. Click here
to read feedback from graduates. This training offers free private
instruction to members of It’s Yoga; we will post sign ups

Spring Time Happenings at It’s Yoga:
Please join us this weekend to celebrate our much loved mama
to be, Katie Cariffe’s pregnancy by showering
her and baby girl with blessings and happy wishes. We are so excited
to welcome in this new addition to the It’s Yoga family.
It will be an open house Saturday, April 16 from 2-5.
It will be a great opportunity for us to all be together for such
a happy occasion. Also look forward to Mommy (or Daddy)
and Me classes to commence in the next few months.
Come check out the renovations! A big thank
you to Lin Cariffe for your hard work, time and creativity you
added to the studio these last few weeks. It was fun having you
here. We look forward to our next project together.
Lastly, Krishna Das is coming to San Francisco
on April 30! We are selling tickets at the front
desk. Ask Katie or Marie about pre-concert possibilities we get
closer to the date.
So finally, the first quarter of all the It’s Yoga
Teacher Trainings around the globe have proved to be
a huge success. We have graduated a record amount of new yoga
instructors who have been inspired to share their practice through
teaching yoga. I sense a new wave to this ride, and am so excited
to be a part of this bright light we’re collectively sharing
with our communities. I’ve always said that yoga teachers
are going to change the world, one class at a time.
Hope to see you soon.
In Love and Peace,
Larry
